• Meet discusses mechanisms of expansion of cooperation between two bodies for the benefit of business community
• Award emphasizes central concepts of quality and excellence in educational affairs

In a move meant to strengthen and activate cooperation and partnership between the Dubai Quality Group (DQG),

its members and investors partners, a delegation of members of the Board of Directors of the group met with officials of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Educational Excellence. The meet took place in the framework of the visit aimed to assess the award. DQG members thanked the officials for their support to the activities and programs of the group, and commended the fact that the award was an investor partner with the group.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Saleh Jani , Chairman of Dubai Quality Group and Ms. Maryam Al Thani al Falasi, Secretary General of the group. Attendees from the Hamdan Award for Educational Excellence included Mr. Suleiman Abd al khalq Al Ansari, Board Member of Trustees and the Executive Director of the award, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Al Khaja, Director of Human Resources and Finance, Mrs Hessa Sultan, Head of the Strategy and Development Office, Mrs. Alia Obaidli, Head of Excellence Programs and Mrs. Fatma Al Hashimi, Head of the Assessment and Design Section.

The meeting discussed mechanisms that will expand and activate cooperation between the two sides, for the benefit of the business community through programs and activities and collaborative initiatives which contribute to promoting excellence and quality, while improving the mechanisms of work, especially since at the heart of the award is the concept of educational excellence pursued widely inside and outside the country.

In this context, Mr. Jani said that the visit comes within the framework of supporting the group’s orientations to expand cooperation and dissemination of the volume of support at various institutions and companies, particularly concerning the affairs of investor partners. Stressing the desire of the group to uphold the principles of cooperation and positive, constructive and fruitful exchanges which promote the trend towards a better understanding, he pointed out the visit by the delegates marked a new turning in ties between the two bodies.

He noted that objectives to be working for included strengthening the principles of quality and excellence of investor partners in all member companies and government and private institutions at the national level. Innovative mechanisms can certainly assure excellence and quality year after year, he said. Mr. Al Ansari, while welcoming the efforts adopted by the group which aimed to raise the levels of quality and excellence in the performance of various members and partners, pointed out that the award, through its rich experience with DQG, showed the way to better careers and better prospects.

He said that the award and the sharing of vision and ideas and aligning approaches in support of excellence and quality according to global standards, besides functioning along the principles of excellence in educational performance and talent, will ensure the up gradation of pedagogical performance and throughput. This can be done through competitive local and international programs and through positive cooperation, which contributes to building a distinct educated community, he said.

Al Ansari, referring to the educational objectives of the Hamdan Award that correspond to the objectives of the DQG, said that the prize aims to improve the level of performance, creativity and proficiency in the field of education, and encourages the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and excellence in all scientific and literary areas, and ensures the provision of an ideal educational environment, modern educational conditions, development, encouragement for innovation, pioneering work and excellence. Honoring all categories and concerned authorities in the educational sector, including organizations and individuals who provide outstanding and creative solutions and pointing out that the goals are identical with the aims adopted by DQG, he said the investment partnership with DQG was of the utmost importance for the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance.
